“I am not a TF1 product, I did not cheat”: Inès Reg first eliminated from the final of “Dancing with the Stars”

The popcorns were out this Friday evening for the grand finale of “Dancing with the Stars”. “It’s not an evening like any other, tonight, it’s France/Argentina,” says host Camille Combal after the introduction marked by the return of all the season’s candidates, all those who were eliminated over the 10 weeks of competition, except for “Desperate Housewive” James Denton, who returned to Los Angeles.

The title is played between the three finalists: comedian Inès Reg, singer Natasha St-Pier and influencer Nico Capone. First step: collect the best possible marks from the four intractable jurors during each person’s first pass. Because at the end of it, one of them will be excluded, the votes of the jury counting as much as those of viewers by SMS. Disputes and names of birds that parasitized the season are no longer relevant: no allusion will be made in the summaries of their adventure. Priority to dancing, the rest is in the past.

It’s the Quebecer who opens the ball with her partner Anthony Colette. She “jumps around like crazy” to “Help” by the Beatles, surrounded by dancers in tuxedos representing the British flag. Even if her long white wedding dress hides most of her steps, the singer continues the lifts, in a very physical performance. Under the spell of this “quick step of fire”, Jean-Marc Généreux does tons of it before giving a 9, just like Fauve Hautot and Mel Charlot, excited. True to his reputation as the most finicky juror, Chris Marques found that there were too many errors. “You missed the start,” he says, giving it a severe 7.

“Honestly you are warriors”

It is disguised as Egyptians that Inès Reg and Christophe Licata present themselves for a very invigorating samba to “Single ladies” by Beyoncé. This explosive cocktail, offered in gold molded bodysuits, greatly pleased the rave jury. “Honestly you are warriors.” Coming from Chris Marques, the compliment stunned the 31-year-old young woman, who jumped for joy upon discovering that the judge gave her first 10 of the season. Jean-Marc Généreux follows his colleague and “buys” the service. Mel Charlot, who found it “beautiful to see”, gave it an enthusiastic 9. Fauve also adds compliments, finding that the candidate has “the look of a woman who wants to go home with her trophy” and reveals that she gives 10. With 39 points, compared to 34 for her rival, Inès already has a foot in the final, confirming that the jury is definitely addicted to the performances of the one who devours her eyes and gives strong hugs to her partner.

Barefoot and dressed in black, Nico Capone saw his cocker spaniel look and his artichoke heart once again burst into tears upon discovering the standing ovation from the public and the jury, at the end of his contemporary dance to “Ma bouche » by Johnny Hallyday. Surrounded by a whole bunch of plastic supermarket mannequins, the colossus lifts his partner Inès Vandamme abundantly. We have to wait for the advert to discover Mel Charlot’s 9 which returns to the attacks on his physique of which he was the victim at the start of the adventure. “You are beautiful”, said Jean-Marc Généreux, touched by the “authenticity” of the candidate who judges that it is worth a 9. Same note for Fauve judges the “remarkable journey”, just like Chris Marques who put on a red jacket with black tips.

VIDEO. “I am the Arab in this story”: Inès Reg returns to the clash with Natasha St-Pier in “Dancing with the Stars”

In short, the judges chose the weak link: for them it was Natasha St-Pier. But it is the usher Maitre Simonin who brings the envelope after a dance by Fauve Hautot. First couple saved: Natasha St-Pier and Anthony Colette, the public’s favorites. Camille Combal maintains the suspense. Embracing, Inès Res and Christophe Licata discover that they are eliminated. As moved as she is disappointed, the young woman takes the microphone to say a few words to her dancer, then to the audience: “I love you madly, I’m sorry, you are an atomic bomb. (…) Thank you thank you it was a crazy adventure. I suffered a lot. I am not a TF1 product. I didn’t cheat and I lost my head.”
