Zadranka Bernarda Pera won the first WTA title in her career under the USA flag

Struck Bernard Pera (WTA – 130), who plays under the American flag, won the first WTA title of her career by winning her first final, played on Sunday on clay in Budapest a Serbian woman Aleksandr Krunic (WTA – 105th) with 6-3, 6-3 in 87 minutes.

For the 27-year-old left-handed tennis player born in Zadar, this was the third victory over Krunic in as many matches.

Pera achieved the greatest success of her career in the qualifiers and did not lose a single set in seven matches on her way to the premier title. In Budapest, she earned 280 points and 26,770 euros, and on Monday she will again be among the top 100 female tennis players in the world at 81st place in the individual WTA rankings.

Although she was defeated for the second time in her third final on the WTA Tour, 29-year-old Aleksandra Krunic also made a jump of 30 positions, and she will also be in the Top 100, in 75th place.
