Paraná Clube defines home for the last round of the Segundona

Paraná Club defined that the match against Patriots will be in Baixada Arenastadium Athleticoon the 25th (Saturday), at 3:30 pm, for the last round of the classification phase of the Second Division of the Paraná Championship.

Since the table was defined, Tricolor already knew that they would need a new home to face Patriotas. Vila Capanema will host a concert by singer Thiaguinho on the same day, which prevents the match from taking place at the stadium.

The Paranista board tried other options before choosing Arena da Baixada. Couto Pereira, from Coritibaand Germano Krüger, from Operário, will be unavailable for planting winter grass. Carangueijão will host the Rio Branco game at the same time.

“We have this option with Athletico and there is no other. There is already an event scheduled at Capanema before the championship. Coritiba and Operário are going to make the winter switch and need to stop for a while. Rio Branco, which could be an alternative, will play at home. There would be no other option than the Arena. Regardless, it is important that we came out as leaders in the last round and played for a draw against Patriotas to stay in the lead”comments the Czech coach.

With the definition, Paraná Clube has already called on the fans to fill the Arena da Baixada once again and remembered the other matches in 2017 and 2024. “The 25th is not about proving anything to anyone. It’s about something much bigger. It’s about staying. Keeping believing. Keeping singing. And let’s go like this.”

Paraná Clube filled the Arena da Baixada in recent years

The last time Paraná Clube played as home team at Arena da Baixada was in the debut of the 2024 Segundona. On that occasion, Tricolor beat Nacional 1-0 with the presence of 36,891 fans.

It was the first match after a campaign carried out by the board to attract fans at a time of reconstruction. Two years ago, the Paranista team had the support of more than 140 thousand people in the stands during the Access Division title campaign.

Another time that Paranista fans filled the Athletico stadium was in the 2017 Series B. In the campaign to gain access to the Brasileirão elite, Tricolor beat Internacional 1-0 in front of 39,414 Paranista fans. It was the Arena record for over a year.

Paraná Clube has 100% at home

Just as it was in 2024, Paraná Clube is betting on the strength of the fans to return to the First Division of the Paraná Championship. So far, Tricolor has 100% success as home team with victories over Prudentópolis and Paranavaí 1-0, Nacional 3-1 and Toledo 2-0. In addition, they played as a visitor at Vila Capanema against Araucária and also won by the minimum score.

With 20 points, Paraná Clube remains at the top of the Second Division and has already secured the advantage of deciding the quarter-finals and possible semi-finals at Vila Capanema.
