Cycling: Giulio Pellizzari wins the Tour of the Alps

The Italian Giulio Pellizzari won the Tour of the Alps for professional cyclists. The 22-year-old from Team Red Bull took the day’s victory on Friday on the 5th and final stage from Trento to Bolzano after 128.6 km. Pellizzari, who entered the final day as the leader, distanced himself from the former Tour de France winner in the overall ranking Egan Bernal by 40 seconds, the Dutchman Thymen Arensman came third, another ten seconds behind.

Finished as the best Austrian Philipp Hofbauer from Team Vorarlberg finished the tour in 45th place, directly ahead of Rainer Kepplinger (Bahrain).
