Andrada unleashes a violent punch on Pulido in El Alcoraz

Real Zaragoza goalkeeper Esteban Andrada left a regrettable image in the derby against SD Huesca when he violently punched local captain Jorge Pulido, a tense outcome of the match on matchday 37 of LaLiga Hypermotion in El Alcoraz.

Huesca took the three points with Óscar Sielva’s 1-0 penalty, after missing another maximum penalty in the first half, in a direct duel for salvation. Both Aragonese teams remain in the relegation zone, with 36 and, the Maños, 35 points.

However, the football got dirty and the result, although perhaps transcendent for the remainder of the season, took a back seat with the tension of the last minutes and the stoppage time. In a cross with Pulido, Andrada pushed the local defender, and the referee showed him a second yellow that cost him the expulsion.

There, with the players of both teams facing each other on the grass, the Argentine goalkeeper lost his temper and ran towards Pulido to deliver a tremendous punch to his head. The referee Arcediano Monescillo recorded what happened in his minutes, with two other expulsions for aggression after the VAR review.

“In the 99th minute, after being sent off for a double yellow card, Andrada addressed Pulido violently and aggressively, running and jumping towards him, while punching him in the face with excessive force, knocking him to the ground, and causing a bruise on his left cheekbone. As a result, a brawl between players occurred,” the referee wrote.

When the situation calmed down, the red cards went to Dani Tasende, from Zaragoza, for kicking an opponent, and to Dani Jiménez, Huesca goalkeeper who had run after Andrada, managing to land another punch in the face in the middle of the fight.
