Mbappé, injured less than two weeks before the Classic

Real Madrid’s French forward Kylian Mbappé suffers an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg, after asking for a change in the final stretch of the league duel against Real Betis in La Cartuja this Friday, making him a doubt for the Clásico against FC Barcelona on May 10.

“After the tests carried out today on our player Kylian Mbappé by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle of his left leg,” the entity reported in a statement published on its website.

The French player was substituted in the 81st minute of last Friday’s match against Real Betis on matchday 32 of LaLiga EA Sports 2025-26, played at La Cartuja and which ended with a 1-1 draw, which was the Frenchman’s 100th match with the Real Madrid shirt.
