Infantino sent a letter to King Kaarle Kustaa on April 8, inviting him to watch Sweden’s World Cup matches and asking the king to announce his participation.

Infantino has not received positive opposition to his invitation, says the Swedish court’s deputy communications manager Johan Tegel For Expressen.

“The king has no plans for the World Cup,” says Tegel.
