Fiamma Benítez: “We will play with the courage and heart that Atlético represents”

Atlético de Madrid midfielder Fiamma Benítez confessed that the role of favorite and the quality of FC Barcelona is “obvious” facing the final of the Copa de la Reina Iberdrola this Saturday in Gran Canaria, but she appealed to the “courage and heart” of the red-and-white club and the motivation to seek a title that has eluded them since 2023.

“The locker room is very motivated, we know what a final is. We repeat many from last year, we know that it is very nice to play these games and we want to give joy to the fans. We do not need any more motivation for this game because it is a final,” he said this Friday at a press conference at the stadium.

Fiamma did not want to go into numbers, such as the goals conceded against the Catalans this season, and recalled that a final does not understand “dynamics.” “We are eleven against eleven, we know the capabilities they have, but we also know ours. We have a lot of potential and it is a final, we are going to go with everything. Their quality is obvious, but we also have our weapons. We want to win and compete, and that is what we are going to do,” she said.
