Denmark, Eriksen after his illness: “I’m fine, here’s what happened”

Christian Eriksen reassures all the fans after the illness he suffered yesterday on the pitch wearing the Denmark shirt, in a friendly against Ukraine: “I want to let everyone know – wrote the midfielder on Instagram – that I am well and that I am at home with my family. I want to reassure everyone that it is a different situation compared to that of 2021. I feel good and my recovery has already begun. I am fine. Thanks to the expertise of the doctors, my pacemaker worked exactly as expected: protecting me when I need it. For now I am thinking about recovery, spending time time with my family, going on holidays and playing football with my children.”

Eriksen, who is currently a Wolfsburg player, had already suffered an illness on the pitch in 2021, during the European Championship match against Finland. After the cardiac arrest he returned to play thanks to the implantation of a pacemaker.
