At almost 37 years old, she enjoys it Grand Lady of Skeletonsports her being an athlete now more than ever. That’s why Janine Flock is making no move to put her career on hold, but will tackle her 17th World Cup season in the fall – making the Tyrolean the undisputed number 1.

“The fire for the ice track is still burning,” explains the three-time overall World Cup winner. “It’s the passion, the discipline, the hunger, the curiosity, to experience everything I’ve worked for over the last few years again as a top athlete.”

Chasing World Cup gold

And Janine Flock is still pursuing a big goal: a World Cup gold medal is still missing from the experienced skeleton pilot’s trophy collection.

The Tyrolean wants to achieve this success in the coming season. It’s a good thing that the World Cup will take place in Lillehammer in February 2027, because the ice track in Norway is the one declared favorite train.

“I have been unbeaten on this track for two years, secured my third overall World Cup there, won my fourth European Championship title and hold the track record,” explains Janine Flock.
