Oyarzabal: “Not to claim myself, I have always felt loved”

Spanish international Mikel Oyarzabal was “very happy” after his double in the victory (4-0) over Saudi Arabia, although he did not want to talk about “vindicating himself” on a personal level, since he always felt “loved.”

“Happy to have turned the situation around and the feelings we have had on the field. Happy to have been able to help the team. The other day I had to touch the ball less, be less active, be less present, but in another way I helped what I could. Happy and always looking for the team to do well,” he said in statements to TVE, reported by Europa Press.

The Real Sociedad attacker recovered his sense of smell with ‘La Roja’ but did not want praise. “Vindicate myself not because I have said that I have always felt loved and valued, by my teammates, the coach. That is what I am left with. Outside we know that there will always be talk, but we are always calm,” he stated.

Furthermore, Oyarzabal understood his change at halftime. “Everything is good, we have to give minutes to more people. Everyone is going to be important. When it’s your turn you have to give 100% and when they change us there is someone else who will do the same,” he concluded.
