Japanese Naomi Osaka submitted the final match at WTA Hamburg

Češka tenisačica Karolina Muchova won the title at the WTA tennis tournament in Hamburg on Saturday after the Japanese Naomi Osaka submitted the final meč. She handed meč after 45 minutes of play, the score was 6-1, 1-0 for Muchova, the eleventh female tennis player in the world.

Osaka (WTA-15th) called the coach when she was 3-0 down at the beginning of the match after losing serve twice. The four-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one received treatment for her right ankle and continued to play, but eventually gave up at the start of the second set.

At the age of 29, Muchova wins her third WTA title, after victories in Seoul (September 2019) and Doha (WTA 1000, beginning of February this season). With this victory, she returns to the top 10 in the world and on Monday she will be 9th in the WTA rankings.
