FC Barcelona-Athletic, Real Madrid-Real Sociedad and Atlético-Málaga, on the first day of LaLiga EA Sports 26-27

FC Barcelona will start the defense of its title in LaLiga EA Sports 2026-2027 at the Spotify Camp Nou against Athletic Club, while Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid will face Real Sociedad and the recently promoted Málaga CF respectively at home, according to the draw for the calendar held this Tuesday at the Plaza de Colón in Madrid.

The rest of the first day, which will be held depending on how the World Cup has developed in the United States, Mexico and Canada and with a first block starting on the weekend of August 15-16, will be composed of Deportivo Alavés-Getafe, Celta-Osasuna, RC Deportivo-Elche, Espanyol-Levante, Racing-Villarreal, Sevilla-Rayo Vallecano and Valencia-Betis.

On the other hand, regarding the last date of the championship, May 30, FC Barcelona will play away against Getafe CF, as will Atlético de Madrid against Real Betis, while Real Madrid will close at the Santiago Bernabéu against RC Deportivo. Athletic Club-Rayo Vallecano, Elche-Racing, Espanyol-Alavés, Levante-Celta, Málaga-Sevilla, Osasuna-Valencia and Real Sociedad-Villarreal will complete this weekend.

Furthermore, the Clásicos will have very similar dates to this past season, with the first on matchday 10, on October 25, this time at the Spotify Camp Nou, and the return match on matchday 35 at the Santiago Bernabéu on May 9.

For its part, Real Madrid will face Atlético de Madrid first at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on matchday 7 (September 20) and will receive them on matchday 30 on April 4, while the Blaugrana and Colchonero will face each other on matchday 12 (November 8) in Madrid, and on matchday 23 (February 7) in Barcelona.

LaLiga EA Sports 26-27 will begin on the weekend of August 14-15-16, although teams with a significant number of players in the semifinals or final of the World Cup will do so on the 25th, 26th or 27th of the same month, with requests also on the 18th, 19th or 20th. The championship will end on May 30th and only one matchday, matchday 33, will be during the week, between the 20th and the 22nd. The first day will have an always attractive Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, with Barça Femení beginning the defense of its title at the Estadi Johan Cruyff against Costa Adeje Tenerife. The two Clásicos will be on matchday 6, in Barcelona on October 4, and on matchday 21, at the Alfredo di Stéfano on February 21.

The Iberdrola Queen’s Cup will begin on September 9 with the First Round and, subsequently, for the first time in a single match, the following rounds will be held on September 30, November 4, December 19 and 20, February 17 and March 17, with the final on Saturday, May 15. The Iberdrola Spanish Super Cup will be decided between January 19 and 24.
