Silverstone GP, super Hamilton in pole position in the sprint race. Starting grid

Lewis Hamilton dominates with Ferrari on his home circuit with an extraordinary lap and takes pole position in the Gran sprint race Great Britain Prize in 1:28.376. The Brit precedes Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes by just 11 thousandths, at the end of a hard-fought session today, Friday 3 July. Third place for Max Verstappen, while Leclerc’s other Ferrari will start from fourth position. Further back is Russell, who doesn’t go beyond the fifth fastest time.

On Saturday 4 July the Formula 1 GP program at Silverstone includes the Sprint at 1pm, followed by qualifying at 5pm, which will define the starting grid for the Grand Prix.
