The Finnish power forward Mikael Jantunen has become a new player for Real Madrid this Wednesday, joining him from the Turkish Fenerbahçe and with whom he signs for the next two seasons, to reinforce the interior of Pedro Martínez’s team.
“Real Madrid CF and Mikael Jantunen have reached an agreement by which the power forward, from Fenerbahçe, will be a Real Madrid player for the next two seasons, until the end of 2027-2028,” says the statement issued by the white entity.
Jantunen is an international for Finland and, throughout his career, has won the Belgian, French and Turkish League championships, among other titles in those countries. In the 2023-2024 season he won the EuroCup with Paris Basketball. Last season, with Fenerbahçe, he won the Turkish League, Cup and Super Cup.
The Finn becomes the third reinforcement of the white team, after the arrivals of power forward Jaime Pradilla and French forward Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot.
