Finland the star player of the national basketball team Mikael Jantunen moves to the ranks of Real Madrid.
The giant club confirmed the transfer on their website.
Jantunen signed a contract that will keep him at the Spanish club for the next two seasons, i.e. until the end of the 2027-2028 season.
Finnish played last season in the big Turkish club Fenerbahçe, with whom he celebrated both the league championship and the cup victory.
In the Euroleague, Jantunen appeared in 36 matches and scored an average of 5.3 points. In addition, he recorded 3.2 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. Fenerbahçe advanced to the top four in the competition.
Susijeng’s trusted player has achieved league championships in Belgium, France and Turkey during his club team career. In the 2023–2024 season, he also celebrated the victory of the European Cup in the shirt of Paris Basketball.
Earlier in July, Serbian sources claimed that Jantunen was likely on his way to Serbian club Crvena Zvezda.
