Aitana Bonmatí: “Important clubs came for me, but Barça is Barça”

FC Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmatí appeared calm with the departure of players in this transfer market and acknowledged that she also had offers from “important clubs”, while opting for Rodrigo Hernández or Pau Cubarsí as the next men’s Ballon d’Or after their outstanding performance in the World Cup.

“Barça has seen how many people have left, many people have come, but Barça has always been Barça, and that is why there are players who want to come to Barça. It will be my 15th season and I have the same enthusiasm as the first day. My role has changed, before I was the girl who wanted to make a place for herself in the first team. I am excited to see the young girls, to help them know that the path is not easy,” she confessed.

On the other hand, Bonmatí, present in the final of the recent 2026 World Cup, was asked about the future Ballon d’Or. “I would give it to Rodri, for example, to Messi, why not, a little for what he has shown with 39 in the World Cup.
