The 18-year-old from Lienz took part in the 250cc tournament Threshold ins Finale a. In the semifinals on Saturday she defeated the eight-time tournament winner on the WTA tour, the Czech Barbora Krejcikova with 6:7 (-5), 6:3 and 7:6 (4). The Czech is a two-time major winner, winning in 2021 French Open2024 in Wimbledon.

“Crazy. Honestly, at the moment I can’t believe I won. I’m super happy,” said Tagger in the winner’s interview. “It was an incredible fight, she played great tennis. I saw her at Wimbledon three weeks ago and was a bit nervous before the match,” she admitted.
In the final of the Tagger will face the 24-year-old Ukrainian on Sunday in the $283,347 hard court tournament Daria Snigur.
On the way to the semi-finals, Tagger also defeated number 40 in the world rankings, Sara Bejlek, and will probably move up to around number 60 in the world rankings that will be published on Monday.
In November 2025, Tagger was in a final in Jiujiang, but lost it against Anna Blinkova 3:6, 3:6.
