Gianfranco Zola new coordinator of Club Italia’s youth projects

Gianfranco Zola will be the coordinator for the youth projects of the Italian Club. The FIGC announces it.

The return to blue and the new federal role

In detail, Gianfranco Zola returns to wear the Azzurri and joins Club Italia with the role of coordinator of youth activities projects. The president of the FIGC, Giovanni Malagò, and that of the Club Italia, Claudio Ranieri, strongly wanted him to complete the framework of the federal structure that supervises the management and development of all the Italian teams, sharing the choice with the president of the Lega Pro, Matteo Marani, of which Zola will continue to be deputy vice-president.

Creator of the ‘reform’ that bears his name, a programmatic platform that has stimulated the use of young players in Serie C, Zola (he boasts 35 appearances and 10 goals as a player in blue) will once again wear the shirt of the national team, or rather of the national teams, given that his field of action will be broader and he will focus on building the youth representative chain, together with the technical coordinator Maurizio Viscidi.
