Canadian center forward Carter King24, moves to the ice hockey championship league club Kiekko-Espoo, a club from Espoo report.
King’s contract covers the 2026-2027 season. He moves to Kiekko-Espoo from the AHL team Calgary Wranglers.
King played a total of 68 regular season games in Calgary over the last two seasons. In these matches, he had 6+9=15 power points and a plus-minus balance of -13.
“It’s great to get to Finland and Kiekko-Espoo. I’m looking forward to getting to know the Finnish culture and meeting the team,” King said in Kiekko-Espoo’s press release.
“I heard that Finland has good food, especially fish, so I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve always been fascinated by new cultures, and now is a great opportunity to get to know them,” King rejoiced.
Kiekko-Espoon sports director Kim Hirschovits described King as an exemplary and responsible center forward who is a strong starter. In addition, according to Hirschovits, King is an intelligent player in both defense and attack.
