Reports: Total transfer fee around 140 million euros

The clubs did not provide any information about the transfer fee. According to “The Athletic”, the transfer of the offensive player, who had a contract with the French champions until 2028, could reach a total volume of around 140 million euros. The basic fee should be 117 million euros. Barcola moved to the capital from Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2023 for 45 million euros.

So far, the English record champions have spent more than 100 million euros on a player twice. The German international Florian Wirtz moved from Leverkusen to the Reds last summer for 125 million euros, and a few weeks later they even invested 145 million euros in the Swedish striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
