Neymar is planning to leave Al Hilal and return to his former team

Brazilian star Neymar da Silva, striker of the football team at Al Hilal Saudi Club, sparked controversy over his future with the club, and his decisive position on renewing his contract, which expires next year.

Press reports revealed that Neymar told the technical staff and players of Santos, the Brazilian club where he began his football career, of his desire to return to the club next year. The Brazilian newspaper UOL confirmed that Neymar attended the Santos and Palmeiras match in the first leg of the Paulista Championship final, and the fans were keen to chant his name in the stands.

She added that before the start of the match, Neymar went down to the locker room to deliver a speech to all the team members, and gave them a promise that he would return to Santos in 2025.

The newspaper added that the Samba star wants to win the affection of his country’s fans and restore his golden period with Santos, while the club is preparing to prepare a huge media campaign for the return of its former star.

Al Hilal signed Neymar, coming from Paris Saint-Germain, with a contract until June 2025, in a deal valued at 90 million euros. The player participated in only 5 matches, and scored one goal in the AFC Champions League, before suffering a rupture in the cruciate ligament and cartilage, ending his season with Al-Zaeem.
