Globo, TV Brasil and Canal Goat will broadcast the Brazilian Series B

The CBF and the clubs resolved the impasse over the broadcast of the Series B of the Brazilian Championship this Friday (5). Three proposals were accepted. Globo, Canal Goat and TV Brasil will broadcast the second national division this year.

Globo will air it on SporTV and Premiere, its pay-per-view service. Goat will stream the games on their YouTube channel. In the case of Globo, the broadcaster will have all 380 matches. The Goat just won’t have Santos matches as home team.

TV Brasil will play some games on open TV, which will be selected together with CBF. Globo and Sport resumed talks about the Pernambuco team’s games being shown locally on open TV as well.

What is known is that Band is out. Brax, which sublicensed the rights, had a chance to take over some smaller clubs in the access division, but did not reach an agreement with the CBF.

From now on, the CBF should start defining the dates and times of Series B games with the clubs, which should be announced over the weekend.

This year’s Série B has great repercussion due to the presence of Santos, a team from São Paulo that will compete in the competition for the first time.

Globo, TV Brasil and Canal Goat have not yet commented on the new acquisitions.
