Ronaldo gets 10 million euros

Cristiano Ronaldo has a lawsuit against his former club over a salary issue during the corona pandemic Juventus Turin won. Italy’s record champions almost had to go to the Portuguese ten million euros pay, an arbitration court decided on Wednesday. Ronaldo was under contract with Juventus from 2018 to 2021. The matter concerns salary payments made during the Corona-Pandemics were postponed in the 2020/21 season. The 39-year-old had agreed to the postponement at the time.

The pandemic meant high financial losses for numerous clubs around the world. Many professional footballers gave up their salary or parts. In Ronaldo’s case, payments were also postponed. However, the Portuguese later went to court and even demanded almost 20 million euros. The arbitration tribunal now decided against Juve. The Turin team insisted that Ronaldo voluntarily resigned at the time, but apparently could not convince the court.
