Telegram is developing a paid or premium service that will add a number of features to the free version, such as faster downloads, advanced chat management, and the ability to upload files up to 4GB.
After increasing the number of active users on the platform, the company announced in late 2020 that it would begin monetizing its service a year later. This change would be made in order to address the maintenance challenges posed by user traffic.
Months later, in early May, the Telegram Beta community warned that users who wanted to use certain’stickers’ had to register with a paid service in the latest version 8.7.2 of the iOS app.
Now you’ve been the expert reverse engineer developer Alessandro Paluzzi, who has confirmed that the availability of exclusive’stickers’ is one of the features included in the instant messaging application’s payment plan.
Paluzzi provided a screenshot of some of the features available in the Telegram premium service, including comprehensive chat control, on his Twitter account.
As stated in the button’s description, this option combines tools for selecting the default chat folder, auto-archiving, and hiding new conversations from users who are not in your contact list.
With the paid version of Telegram, the number of channels is doubled, up to 1000, and the number of folders is increased to 20, as well as the number of pinned chats, which can now be up to 10.
It also allows you to share 10 public links and create four accounts. On the other hand, file uploads are increased by two times, from 2GB to 4GB, and file and multimedia download speeds are increased.
Telegram Premium also includes voice-to-text conversion capabilities, the ability to read a transcript of any voice message, and exclusive and animated reactions.
This version also includes huge premium’stickers’ with additional effects that are updated monthly, as well as the ability to organize your interface with different platform icons.
Premium subscribers will be able to use animated profile pictures and video avatars in the chat list and conversations, and will be identified as such by a checkmark next to their username.
Finally, Paluzzi has posed a question to his followers, asking them to consider whether all of these features are worth $4.99 per month, implying that this is the price that the final version of Telegram Premium will have.
More information on the new Telegram payment plan is still unavailable, as is the availability date, which has yet to be announced by the company.
