One million Apple robbery: three indicted

The plan involved the use of a second commercial vehicle, rented with false documents, in which the entire load was stowed before being moved to a warehouse in New Jersey. Despite the apparent logistical coordination, the escape was interrupted due to some fundamental negligence committed by the perpetrators of the coup. In fact, investigators found the fingerprints of one of the suspects on the rental contract of the vehicle used for the escape, which was subsequently abandoned in the Bronx.

What definitively compromised the position of the suspects was the activation of two Apple Watches stolen during the robbery, detected by tracking systems a few days after the event. Alan Christhofer Cedeno-Ferrer, Michael Mejia-Nunez and Ennait Alexis Sirett-Padilla now face serious charges before US justice. If they are found guilty, the maximum sentence for the crimes charged could reach thirty years in prison.
