Ferrari enters the electric era with a model designed by the former Apple creative genius

The Italian automaker Ferrari officially presented the Luce, its first 100% electric vehicle and one of the most talked about releases of the year. The model was designed together with Jony Ive, former creative director of Apple and responsible for the design of products such as the iPhone. The new car marks a historic turn for the “prancing horse” brand, traditionally known for its combustion engines and its link with Formula 1.

However, the Luce’s design has divided opinions among fans and analysts. While some celebrate the innovative commitment, others consider that the model strays too far from Ferrari’s classic identity. The criticism even had an impact on the stock market: the company’s shares fell up to 6% after the official presentation of the vehicle.

The Luce will have a base price of more than 550,000 euros and will begin to be delivered at the end of 2026. With this launch, Ferrari seeks to make its way into the luxury electric car market, although without completely abandoning traditional engines. The company estimates that by 2030 only 20% of its vehicles will be fully electric, while the rest will continue to rely on hybrid and combustion models.
