devolo presents its first WiFi 7 router in Spain, which reaches speeds of up to 6,500 Mbps

devolo has presented in Spain its new ‘router’ Ethernet WiFi 7 BE6500which reaches speeds of up to 6,500 Mbps in fiber optics, and the Mesh WiFi 7 system, to guarantee coverage throughout the home.

The German home networking expert devolo has highlighted the importance of stability and coverage to have a quality internet connection at home, compared to the idea that only speed matters.

“Devolo’s goal is to have good WiFi everywhere in the home and offer a complete portfolio for each situation. That is why we are very happy to introduce our first WiFi 7 ‘router’ here in Spain,” said devolo’s PR manager, Marcel Schüll, in a meeting with the press.

This ‘router’ is the devolo WiFi 7 BE6500 model, which has been designed to offer fiber optic connections with speeds of up to 6,500 Mbps and support the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 8 GHz frequency bands with a channel width of up to 320 Mhz.

To improve wireless speeds, it has technologies such as 4K-QAM, Multi-Link Operation and Multi-RU Puncturing, and also integrates four Ethernet ports, so that the latest generation WiFi reaches every corner of the home.

In this regard, Schüll stated that “WiFi 7 offers more speed, more stability and, of course, lower latency, which is interesting for games”, but also for streaming series and movies in 4K, video calls and devices with artificial intelligence.

To deepen coverage at home, devolo has also introduced i Mesh system, That is, a wireless network made up of several WiFi access points that work together to create uniform and stable coverage throughout the home.

This new Mesh system uses functions such as Access Point Steering, Band Steering, Multi-User bi-directional MIMO and OFDMA to bring the internet signal to complicated spaces or multi-story homes.

devolo sells Mesh kits with two or three devices. “They are preconfigured. You just need to plug them in, wait a little and it works,” the manager noted, regarding the ease of use of this product.

The company has also highlighted that the Mesh ‘router’ is marketed in different formats (as an individual router, in kits and also as an independent extension), like the WiFi 7 BE6500, which can be used as an Ethernet ‘router’ for fiber optics, access point or complete Mesh WiFi system.

In this sense, the devolo WiFi 7 BE6500 ‘router’ is now available at a price recommended 149.90 euros. For its part, the devolo WiFi 7 Mesh BE6500 system in a pack of two devices can be purchased for 279.90 euros, and the kit of three devices for 399.90 euros. The WiFi 7 Mesh BE6500 extension costs 149.90 euros.
