Casio fx-880BTG Plus integrates a specialized Math solving tool

Casio fx-880BTG Plus supports group statistical data processing, geometric solving, and Bayesian probability, with an intuitive interface, shortcuts, and documentation according to educational level.

Bitex, the official distributor of Casio in the Vietnamese market, introduced a new line of scientific calculators at the 2026 Customer Conference, June 20. Within the framework of the event, Ms. Tran Thanh Thao, General Director of Bitex, said that the new educational program focuses on the ability to apply knowledge into practice, instead of just performing calculations.

Therefore, learning support tools also need to develop to meet current teaching and learning needs. Casio fx-880BTG Plus was researched with the orientation of supporting students in reviewing Math topics at high school and middle school levels.

According to an announcement from Casio, the machine supports the processing of grouped statistical data – a type of problem that has appeared in study programs and exams in recent years. Instead of performing many manual calculation steps, students can enter data directly for faster analysis and processing.

In addition, the device integrates features for geometry including: solving triangles, calculating the distance between two points, calculating the distance from a point to a straight line, writing plane equations, applying Heron’s formula to calculate the area of a triangle or sector.

The computer also supports total probability calculations and Bayesian formulas, through which students can access advanced topics more conveniently.

“Integrating support tools right on the computer helps students reduce the time spent performing repetitive calculations, focusing on problem-solving thinking and analyzing the nature of the problem,” Ms. Thao emphasized.

In addition to additional features, the company developed Casio fx-880BTG Plus in a young-friendly direction. Specifically, the toolbar system is intuitively arranged according to knowledge groups, helping students easily find functions. The company also equips shortcuts for commonly used features to shorten operations when studying and taking exams.

During the process of researching equipment to order from Casio, Bitex invited math experts, lecturers and the math application team to work together, evaluate the pros and cons and ensure the calculator was suitable for actual teaching in Vietnam.

According to inspection certificate number Q326D047751 issued by Quatest 3 on May 7, Casio fx-880BTG Plus does not have the function of storing data using a memory card, nor does it support text editing. Therefore, devices that meet the criteria for handheld computers are allowed to be brought into the exam room according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In addition to the computer, the manufacturer attaches a set of user manuals for each educational level (junior high school, high school). Students can access topics, lectures and learning support content that closely aligns with the new curriculum.
