xAI introduces Grok Bot, an AI agent system that works as an autonomous teammate around the clock

xAI has announced the Grok Bot beta availability a service of agents based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that have the ability to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Grok Bot has been officially presented from the xAI website with the intention of becoming an AI agent system that, unlike traditional systems that work with a ‘prompt’, They have their own computer in the cloud.

“There’s a big difference between completing 90% or 100% of the work. Most AIs stay close to that goal, but they don’t reach it. Grok Bot can finish the game, because the work ends exactly where a human would put it: in the tool itself,” says a member of the xAI product team, Roman.

That is, these bots can log in and operate on tools web pages and real ‘apps’ (even without an API) to complete tasks from start to finish autonomously.

One of the virtues of Grok Bot is that does not require setting up complex automationsjust write to them directly in a chat, whether from your mobile or a desktop, as if you were a co-worker.

Another of their advantages is that they can function independently as a set of bots, each specialized in a department such as sales, finance or operations. Additionally, they can coordinate with each other, pass tasks in chats or groups, and turn to the user for approval or making critical decisions.

“Working with Grok Bot is like having eight arms like an octopus, with each arm in harmony with the others, each executing a task the way I would,” highlights a member of xAI’s growth team.

As with ‘Actions’ in Photoshop, the user can show a bot how to perform a task so that you save the steps and turn them into a routine. What’s more, it can learn your preferences and even correct possible deviations.

Grok Bot It is in beta phase available today for subscribers of SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium, both in the desktop version and on iOS. There is a waiting list for the Enterprise version.

xAI’s new AI agent system is similar a OpenClaw which went viral at the beginning of this year and whose creator joined OpenAI a few months later. The big difference between the two is that OpenClaw is an open source tool that gives full control to the user, while Grok Bot is a closed subscription product hosted in the xAI cloud.
