Xiaomi trabaja en CarWith, un asistente inteligente para la conducción similar a Android Auto

The technology company Xiaomi is working on a new smart assistant for the car called CarWith, which incorporates features similar to the Android Auto, CarPlay or HiCar driving applications.

The latest MIUI 13 daily internal beta update, 22.2.7, introduces a feature called CarWith in the ‘Connect and share’ settings, which appears to be a system to connect the car to a device, according to MyDrivers.

This Chinese information portal points out that users can connect mobile phones and cars through the application, as well as use the services of navigation, music, telephone and other applications from the central control of the car.

These functionalities show that it could be an alternative to other mobile device control systems capable of adapting their screen to the car’s dashboard, such as Android Auto, developed by Google, Apple’s CarPlay or Huawei’s HiCar.

Through these applications and via wireless connection via Bluetooth or USB cable (depending on the phone model) you can read WhatsApp messages, take calls, access the contact list, maps or the calendar without having to use the mobile during the driving.

At the moment, this Xiaomi function is in a testing phase, since when accessing the ‘Compatible Models’ option, the system issues a message indicating that it is under development.

It should be remembered that the technology company announced in March of last year that it would invest around 10,000 million dollars (more than 8,520 million euros) over the next ten years to manufacture electric cars, so CarWith could be included in these models.
