Apple is developing a stylus compatible with the Apple Vision Pro viewer, which will have support with the operating system on which it is based, visionOS, and which has already been tested internally.

Vision Pro is Apple’s commitment to mixed reality (MR), which the company presented in June of last year and launched last February in the United States, with a price starting at $3,499.

It is a viewer that introduces spatial computing technology, has a three-dimensional user interface and supports interaction with applications with hands, voice and eyes.

At the time of its announcement, the manufacturer insisted that with this device it sought to “transform how people work, collaborate, connect, relive memories and enjoy their entertainment” and to offer the “most advanced consumer electronics device ever created.” ”.

To expand the possibilities of this product, the brand has developed a stylus or Apple Pencil, which is currently only compatible with the different versions of iPad (Pro, Air, mini).

This version of the accessory, which has already been tested internally, will have support for visionOS and can be used with drawing applications in Vision Pro, such as Freeform and Pixelmator, according to a source familiar with the company to MacRumors.

This portal has indicated that the new stylus will require updated software and that Apple is expected to announce the second iteration of the visionOS operating system at its developer conference (WWDC, for its acronym in English), usually organized in June.
