A 14-year-old girl died after a roller coaster car derailed in Denmark

One child died and another was injured at an amusement park in Aarhus after a roller coaster carriage came loose. A serious accident also occurred on the same roller coaster in 2008.

A 13-year-old boy was also injured in the accident.

Tivoli’s manager Henrik Ragborg Olsenin according to the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon, when the Cobra roller coaster car derailed. The cause of the accident was not yet known on Thursday.

“The last carriage of the train came loose and hung behind the rest of the train,” Olsen told the Danish Broadcasting Corporation.

The amusement park was closed after the accident, and visitors were directed away from the area. According to the Danish public broadcasting company, psychological support is being offered to those present.

Cobra roller coaster is 400 meters long and 25 meters high. Its carriages can travel over 70 kilometers per hour.

In the roller coaster, you sit in pairs in a six-carriage train.

In 2008, an accident occurred at Cobra, in which four people were seriously injured. In this case, the first carriage of the train fell off the rails due to a construction error.
