British media: Stabbed MP David Ames dies of his wounds

A British MP from the Conservative Party was stabbed to death today (Friday) during an event with his supporters in the British city of Essex.

Sir David Ames, representing the Southwest in Essex, was attacked at the Belfiers Methodist Church. According to a report on Sky News, a man entered the meeting and stabbed him several times, the attempts to save him failed and he died of his wounds.

According to local police, the stabber was arrested: “We were called to report a stabbing on Eastwood North Road, shortly after 12.05 pm (local time), police arrived at the scene. Shortly afterwards a man was arrested and confiscated, he is now in custody and we are not looking for another person And they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the general public. ”

Ames, 69, a well-known British political figure, has never served in a senior position during his 38 years in Parliament. The topic that is most often focused on is animal rights.
