Iran threatens to attack metallurgical plants in Israel and Gulf countries

In response to attacks on its territory, Iran is threatening to attack metallurgical plants in Israel and the Persian Gulf countries.

In particular, Tehran issued threats against six enterprises in the Middle East:

Hadeed in Jubail, Saudi Arabia;

Emirates Steel Arkan in Abu Dhabi, UAE;

Qatar Steel in Mesaieed, Qatar;

Sulb in Al Hidd, Bahrain;

United Steel Industrial (KWTSTEEL) in Shuaybeh, Kuwait;

Yehuda Steels in Ashdod, Israel.

On Friday, March 27, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-affiliated Fars news agency reported that the United States and Israel carried out separate strikes on two major steel plants in Khuzestan and Isfahan.

Both factories are of great importance to the Iranian military industry and are partly owned by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The strike on the factories is expected to cause billions of dollars in damage to the Iranian economy.
