KABUL – Reuters Heavy rains caused severe floods and the collapse of buildings, killing 45 people and injuring 74 others in Afghanistan and Pakistan during the past five days, while Kabul warned of the continued dangers of bad weather. The National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority in Afghanistan stated that most of the deaths in the country were recorded in the central and eastern provinces, including Parwan, Maidan, Wardak, Daikundi and Logar, as heavy rains caused torrential rains and landslides, which led to the complete destruction of 130 homes. She added that the situation remains “unstable” in parts of the country on Monday, with the possibility of more rain and floods in some parts.
