Trump, microphones ‘reveal’ discussions with children (and lies)

“I could give you guys autographs. And you could sell them for $25,000 on eBay tonight,” Trump says with an impromptu business lesson. “I will sign them…Biden would use the autopen, he would have the autopen,” he says, referring to one of his favorite topics.

Trump claims that his predecessor, Joe Biden, did not in fact sign the measures: the staff would have replicated the president’s signature with a device. “He didn’t sign, he wasn’t able to do it. So they chased him everywhere with this machine. Do you know what it was called? Autopen!”, Trump tells the kids, who listen to the story with clearly perplexed expressions.

The First Lady, Melania, appears on the scene. “And who are you?” asks a child. “She’s a movie star, she came from Hollywood to be here”, Trump’s response, who never misses an opportunity to celebrate the success of ‘Melania’, the docufilm produced by Amazon MGM Studios.

Between one marker and another we also talk about sensitive data. “How old are you?”, the impertinent question to the 79-year-old president. Trump responds, lowering his age by almost 30: “I’m 51,” he says. He might even be more daring, judging by the reaction of the little girl to his left: “I thought you were 46.” Even among the very young, at least one enthusiastic supporter appears: “Donald Trump, you are the greatest president”, the endorsement of a child. The answer? “Thank you, honey. I agree.”
