USA: The plan – “to kill as many Jews as possible” | “immediate” stampede attack at a synagogue in Houston was foiled

The US authorities filed an indictment against an 18-year-old young woman from North Carolina on suspicion of planning an attack on a synagogue in Houston, Texas. The young woman is accused of intending to carry out the plan and carry out a stampede in the immediate term with the aim of “murdering as many Jews as possible”.

18-year-old Angelina Han Hicks from the city of Lexington, was arrested a few days after the police received intelligence information about a “multi-casualty incident” planned to take place against the “Beit Israel” synagogue, in the complex that also houses a Jewish school. At the same time as her arrest, an indictment was also filed against a 16-year-old minor in the Texas district on suspicion of involvement in the affair.

The FBI confirmed tonight that the fear of the threat to the synagogue was “immediate”. An official statement from the intelligence agency reads: “This is an exceptional example of a situation where when something worrisome is identified, it is reported to the law enforcement authorities.” The investigation in the case continues.
