Melania Trump reacts after Jimmy Kimmel portrays her as a “widow”

President Donald Trump’s wife called the talk show host a “coward” and said his intention was to divide the country with hateful rhetoric.

“His monologue about my family is not comedy – his words are corrosive and deepen the political illness within the US,” she wrote in X, asking for action from ABC, which broadcasts the program, in relation to the comedian.

“How many times will ABC leadership tolerate Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community?” he asked.

Last Thursday, the ABC presenter said during a parody involving the correspondents’ dinner that the first lady had “the glow of a future widow.”

Days later, a man attempted to invade the event with high-ranking government officials, including President Trump, with the alleged intention of killing them. Cole Allen, 31, was arrested and faces his first court appearance in Washington this Monday (27).

This is not the first time that the Trump family has clashed with Kimmel. Last year, the comedian was removed from his program on the network for comments about the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“The MAGA gang (movement Make America Great Again) desperately tried to label this boy (Robinson) who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything but one of them, and do everything to take political advantage”, he said at the time. Later, the American presenter returned to programming, after apologizing for the statement.

On his return, the comedian also did not hide criticism of Trump who, according to him, “can’t take jokes” and was deteriorating freedom of expression in the USA.
