Air defense systems were activated in Tehran at night

In response to the actions of the alleged drones, the anti-aircraft defense systems were activated in Tehran at night, the sounds of anti-aircraft fire were heard from several points of the capital, Iranian media reported.

According to the semi-official Tasnim and Fars news agencies, the air defense operation heard in the city lasted about 20 minutes. Air defense systems targeted “small aircraft and reconnaissance drones” in the skies over Tehran.

According to reports, it was not clear from the beginning whether the use of air defense systems was an Iranian exercise or a real response.

Later, the media reported that the anti-aircraft systems were deployed against aerial objects, without elaborating on their origin or hit.

According to the media, the operation lasted for about 20 minutes, after which it stopped. It is noted that the situation in Tehran has returned to normal, no injuries or damages have been reported.

American-Israeli airstrikes against Iran started on February 28, but on April 8, Washington and Tehran agreed to a ceasefire.
