Iran denies reports of readiness to freeze uranium enrichment

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said the United States has transmitted a response to Iran’s 14-point plan to end the war through Pakistan. According to him, Tehran is studying the American response.

Baghai categorically denied information published by the Al-Jazeera television channel that the Iranian peace plan envisages a 15-year freeze on uranium enrichment.

Baghai said Iran’s 14-point plan “focuses solely on ending the war.” “What is said about the details in the nuclear sphere is absent in this regard,” he said on the Iranian TV channel Shabake Khabar.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also said that at this stage, Iran’s plan for a settlement with the United States concerns only the end of hostilities, and not nuclear issues. “Our 14-point plan focuses solely on ending the war and does not address issues related to the nuclear sphere,” the Iranian state television and radio company quoted him as saying.
