The meeting of the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Vice President of Turkey took place today within the framework of the European Political Community Summit being held in Yerevan.
“I had a fruitful exchange of ideas with the Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz within the framework of the European Community Summit. Reflecting on the possibilities of regional cooperation between Armenia and Turkey”, Nikol Pashinyan wrote in X.
“We welcomed the signing of the protocol on the joint restoration of the historical bridge of Ani,” the Prime Minister of Armenia also conveyed.
This is the first document signed between Ankara and Yerevan after the Armenian-Turkish protocols of 2009, which Turkey never ratified.
An agreement on the joint repair of the Ani bridge was reached between the two countries more than three years ago, and almost a year later, the Armenian Foreign Minister announced that Yerevan and Ankara are exchanging concrete protocols in this regard.
