The IDF attacked a target in Beirut. The target is the commander of the Raduan unit.

On the evening of May 6, reports appeared in the Lebanese media about an IDF air strike on a target in the Beirut district of Dahiya, considered a Hezbollah stronghold. This is the first time since the ceasefire came into effect that the IDF has attacked terrorists in the capital area.

The Kan-11 television channel reported that the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed the strike and said that the target of the strike was the commander of Hezbollah’s special unit Raduan.

In a joint statement, Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said: “Raduan terrorists are responsible for the shelling of Israeli populated areas and the deaths of IDF soldiers. No terrorist has immunity – Israel will get every enemy and murderer. We promised to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of the north – and we are keeping that promise.”
