A dozen Palestinians die, including the son of a Hamas leader in Gaza, in Israeli attacks

A dozen people died this Wednesday due to attacks by the Israeli Army against the Gaza Strip, including one of the sons of the main negotiator of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Jalil al Haya.

The newspaper ‘Filastin’, linked to the Palestinian group, has initially confirmed the death of at least nine people in Israeli attacks against different parts of the enclave during the day.

In another message, he also announced the death of Azam Jalil al Haya, son of one of the Hamas leaders, as a result of a bombing by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the Al Daraj neighborhood, in the east of Gaza City.

Al Haya has lost three other children, Hamza, Osama and Hammam, in separate attacks by Israel in recent years.

Hamas, for its part, has denounced in a statement the “escalation of violence” by Israeli forces against the Gaza Strip and recalled that the attacks “constitute a violation of the ceasefire agreement signed in Sharm el Sheikh”, in Egypt, in October of last year.

“The occupying government continues its attacks under the pretext of a ceasefire, without any effective international deterrence,” he criticized, before calling on the United States and the countries guarantors of the agreement to take “immediate measures and pressure” Israel to cease its attacks against civilians.

The Gazan authorities have estimated this Wednesday at 837 Palestinians killed and 2,381 injured by attacks carried out by Israel despite the ceasefire in force since October 2025, a figure that rises to more than 72,600 dead and 170,000 injured since the beginning of the offensive launched by Israel after the attacks of October 7, 2023 – which left some 1,200 dead and nearly 250 kidnapped, according to the official balance.
