On the night of Friday, May 8, residents of the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas and the island of Qeshm in the Strait of Hormuz reported explosions.
According to the Iranian Fars agency, the commercial part of the Bahman pier on Qeshm was damaged during a “collision with the enemy.”
The Mehr agency also confirmed explosions on the island. The cause of the explosions in Bandar Abbas has not yet been established.
A number of Iranian media reports that the UAE Air Force may be involved in the attack on the Bahman pier on Qeshm Island. According to the Asr Iran portal, an investigation is underway into the possible involvement of the Emirates in the incident. This version has not yet received official confirmation.
