The new head of the military wing of Hamas was Muhammad Uda, whom the IDF promised to reach

Muhammad Uda headed the military wing of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, replacing Izza ad-Din al-Haddad, who was killed by Israel over the weekend. This was reported by the Saudi publication Al-Sharq al-Awsat, citing three sources in the terrorist organization.

Uda is considered an extremely secretive figure about whom little is known. In September 2025, the IDF published a photo of him with the caption: “Muhammad Uda is still alive – we will get to him.”

At the time of the attack on October 7, he served as head of military intelligence of the Izaddin al-Qassam Brigades.

According to sources, Uda was offered leadership of the military wing after the liquidation of Muhammad Sinuar, but then he refused and al-Haddad took the post.
