Jonathan Andic | Son of the founder of Mango detained: what is known about the investigation into the death of Isak Andic

The arrest of Jonathan Andic for the death of his father, Isak Andic, founder of the Mango textile empire and the richest man in Catalonia, culminates almost a year and a half of investigations in which the Mossos (the Catalan police) have analyzed the surroundings of the suspect, whose family defends his innocence, from his cell phone.

The bend in the mountain where the businessman fell is one of the main signs of criminality that investigators cling to: an angle at which they assure that it is difficult to fall off a cliff due to a mere stumble, since the cliff does not border the road, as explained by sources close to the case.

The Catalan police link these elements with what they believe could be the motive for a possible homicide: the resentment that Andic could hold against his father after being removed from the company’s front line and leave in June 2025 the management of Mango Man for which he was responsible for 17 years. His family, however, denies Jonathan’s supposed bad relationship with Isak.
