Mateša shocked us with his resignation, and in 2023 he revealed to us: ‘I saw the other world when I died’

– I’ve been celebrating two birthdays for you for the last nine years. The second is when I literally woke up from the dead, he told us in 2023, just after his birthday, which he celebrates on June 17. HOO led six mandates, but today it is clear that the seventh will not be completed. it certainly won’t lead. He came to the head of HOO after trying himself as prime minister, when he replaced the water polo pool with stormy political waters. He shared his supernatural experience with us three years ago.

– I am a believer, but I have never believed in the stories that people can see tunnels, lights, meet their closest but deceased people during the dying process and the like. To me it was nonsense. Until once… I was in 2012 at a ‘board meeting’ in Andorra. I started to feel bad, my body tingled, I was covered in a cold sweat, I was nauseous and I said that something was wrong and that they were taking me to the hospital. They did all the tests there, and regardless of the findings, I wanted to go to Croatia. But the doctor told me: ‘You will be happy if you reach Barcelona’. My heart was in such a bad condition that they couldn’t even take me to Barcelona by helicopter because of the raging pressures, so they were urgently preparing a resuscitation vehicle – he said. He also revealed how they managed to save him.

– As board members we had good health insurance, they took me to the private hospital Quirón Teknon. There was no other choice but to have an emergency operation. The operation lasted ten hours, during which they implanted five stents. Like when plumbers remove and connect pipes, so they worked with my heart. And just when they thought that the biggest drama was behind them, a new show started. I shut down. Died… Klinički. They rushed me back to the operating room, opened everything again in order to use their hands to squeeze out the remaining thrombus that was there or later ‘travelled’, who knows. During that time, I experienced something that I didn’t believe existed – he said and described that supernatural experience:

“I wasn’t immediately aware of it. Dead and then alive again, only in an induced coma, that was the doctor’s experience. And during that time, I entered a kind of time machine. I was sitting in the former living room and talking to my deceased parents. I don’t remember what we talked about, but I vividly remember the table where I grew up, in the living room… There at some point, my teacher from elementary school also found…” He also remembered the day he woke up from a coma.

– It was September 29. First I looked at where I was and what happened, and then I started to remember what I had experienced. Later, I looked for literature on the subject and read that the so-called time machine was the second most exciting experience that people recounted after coming back from near death. Most of them enter illuminated tunnels and the like – he said. Since then, he says, he is not afraid of death in the slightest.

– Nothing can upset me since then. Everything that was important to me until then and that I considered important became completely insignificant – he added.

Before all that, he told us then, material things were not the most important to him.

– But that has nothing to do with life. Somehow, that experience taught me to distinguish the important from the unimportant very clearly, and the only thing that could throw me off track today is the damaged health of my relatives and friends – he said. He first shared his experience of dying and everything he went through with his loved ones.

– I told them about it first. They listened to me and simply believed me. It’s hard to describe in words how I’ve been dealing with stress since then. I don’t have it because I know that everything that happens can be solved. We will all end up in the same place one day. Cemeteries are full of rich people, artists, actors, athletes… No one has and will not escape death, neither you nor me. I still don’t know anyone who has avoided it, and if I meet him, I will be worried – he continued with a laugh. Since then, he has been celebrating his ‘second birthday’ on September 29.

But today, his birthday is probably the last thing on his mind.
