“Rospotrebnadzor” suspended the import and sale of “Jermuk” in Russia

The state agency for consumer protection of Russia, “Rospotrebnadzor”, has temporarily suspended the import and sale of all batches of Armenian “Jermuk” mineral water in Russia due to the content of some substances above the norm.

The department claimed that the mineral water does not correspond to the information specified in the label, “Interfax” reports.

Ahead of the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union to be held next week, “Rospotrebnadzor” sent notifications to the Eurasian Economic Commission and the authorized bodies of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Earlier, the Food Safety Inspection Authority of Armenia announced that it checked and found no violations in “Jermuk”.
