Medvedev warns Europe that “dreams of peace are over” after the drone impact in Romania

Former Russian President Dimitri Medvedev warned the citizens of the European Union this Friday that “dreams of peace are over” after the impact this past morning of a drone in Romania, an incident attributed to Moscow that has left two injured, and recommended that Europeans “now know who to ask” if they want to ask for explanations, in a reference to community leaders.

Medvedev, vice president of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and distinguished for his incendiary comments on social networks, has not finished confirming Russian responsibility but has made it clear that incidents such as the one that occurred last night in the Romanian city of Galati are the product of the “unilateral” decision taken by the European authorities to “join the war with Russia.”

“Remain vigilant and do not be surprised by anything,” Medvedev said before warning that “dreams of peace are over” before addressing the European population directly. “But you know who to ask why,” he concluded.

At the moment, Medvedev is the only senior Russian official who has spoken out about an extremely serious incident because it is the first time that there is evidence of injuries due to the impact of a drone participating in the Ukrainian war against a member state of the European Union and a NATO partner.

Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov announced this Friday that President Vladimir Putin will appear at a still unspecified time throughout the day to presumably address what happened in Galati.
